Meet Blake
Being a human is hard. The heart, mind, and body often struggle to coexist and can seem to have competing needs. My passion as a therapist is helping clients make lasting, dynamic peace within themselves.
You are not a problem to be solved, a self-care checklist to be completed, or a task to accomplish. As a clinician, my focus is on utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities creatively to help you get to know yourself, live in your values, and make peace with your pieces.
I aim to help clients find realness, wholeness, and flexibility. I have a background in psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT). My areas of focus are disordered eating, eating disorders, intellectual giftedness, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and temperamental overcontrol.
If you struggle with feeling uptight, rehearsed, disconnected, performative, rigid, numb, or thinking too fast to feel, traditional therapy may have left you wondering what was missing. Sometimes, we don’t need to “calm down” or “figure it out” as much as we need to feel, express, explore, and connect. People who struggle with these experiences often come to therapy to learn how to do better, know better, and try harder. If that’s you—and you’re wondering why it hasn’t worked or are ready to try something new—it would be an honor to work together toward peace and realness.
