Meet Candor Therapy Network What Makes Us Different

Choosing a therapist is rarely simple. It often means reaching out at a moment when things already feel overwhelming and then having to explain your story to a stranger, hoping they're the right fit. At Candor Therapy Network, we built our practice around making that first step feel less daunting.

Who we are

Candor Therapy Network is a private practice based in Richmond, VA, offering individual, couples, and group therapy for a range of concerns from anxiety and depression to relationship challenges, trauma, and substance use recovery. Our name reflects what we believe therapy should be: honest, direct, and free of judgment. We're not interested in performative positivity or one-size-fits-all treatment plans. We're interested in what's actually going on with you, and what actually helps.

Our approach

Every client who walks through our doors, or logs into a virtual session, is treated as the expert on their own life. Our clinicians draw from evidence-based approaches (CBT, ACT, DBT-informed techniques, motivational interviewing, and more depending on your therapist and your needs) while staying flexible to what each person actually needs session to session. Therapy here is collaborative, not scripted.

What we offer

  • Individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, and more

  • Couples counseling for communication, trust, and connection challenges

  • Group therapy, including our newly launched substance use recovery and prevention group

  • In-person sessions at our Richmond office and virtual sessions across Virginia

Why it matters to us

Many of us came to this work because we've seen, personally or professionally, what happens when people don't have access to care that actually meets them where they are. Candor exists to close that gap — with a team that's genuinely invested in your outcomes, not just your intake form.

If you're ready to talk to someone, or just want to ask a few questions before committing, reach out here. We make it easy to start.
